"Very good day out. Thanks to the Marcher Stuarts Re-enactment Group for the hospitality shown to us and for excellent displays".  Bob Mackay.

"My son and I flew over to the UK to have a road trip and see as much as possible. I will say that one of the highlights of the trip was going to Raglan Castle!!! I never thought it would be as wonderful to be standing in a structure as old as the castle and to feel the sense of history!!! At Raglan Castle, we met several people who shared the same interest. People were dressed in renaissance attire!!! Minstrels playing musical instruments and in the court yard, there was a gentleman named Andrew who has a long bow with a target and was instructing people on how to shoot, in a very safe manner!! I was instantly hooked and have since purchased a long bow when I returned to the U.S. I can't wait to return to the U.K. to have a look at more castles as they are extremely fascinating!!! I don't know if this renaissance group does this all the time, but they should!!!! It has certainly peaked my interest in Castles in the UK!!!"   Russ.           ( The folks in question were members of The Marcher Stuarts ).

"Well done to Sian for managing to teach our little one ( with a stunning lack of co-ordination) how to, not only fire a bow but, actually to hit the target".

"The armourer drew people in by inviting them to think about how they would feel and what they would do in given scenarios making it more than just a 'show and tell', I could have listened to him for hours. He knew his stuff". A.R.
